Susan Kigula, Peter Pringle, Sonia “Sunny” Jacobs, Herman Lindsey. Four people from different corners of the globe who share a common fate: wrongly sentenced to death, they fought for years to prove their innocence, until they were finally cleared of all charges. The film aims to focus on what happens, in the most intimate sense, to those who have survived death row.

What does it mean to return to the world of the living whilst feeling completely disconnected from a society that has moved on without them? Having been forcibly deprived of a significant part of their lives, these people now struggle to embrace what remains of their existence. These are powerful and emblematic stories, linked by a common thread: a hard-fought struggle to reintegrate into an unfamiliar and hostile world.
