After the wave, beyond the road
Colombia and Sri Lanka, two countries separated by thousands of kilometers, distant in culture, customs, and society, where many children and young people have had to struggle, in different ways, to reclaim their lost childhood.
To counter the violent wave of the tsunami that devastated Southeast Asia in 2004, and the sexual and commercial exploitation of minors on the streets of Cartagena de Indias in Colombia, the exhibition After the Wave, Beyond the Road was inspired by school essays and drawings created by the children themselves.
The exhibition is part of the national campaign for children’s rights I’m Here. Right to the Future, conceived and organized by CISP and co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Directorate General for Development Cooperation.
